You could do one of the smaller species of flasher wrasse. What about a possum wrasse?

Yellowfin Flasher Wrasse (3.5")

Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse (3")

McCosker's Flasher Wrasse (3.5")

Blue Flasher Wrasse (3")

Pink-Streaked Wrasse (2.5")

Scarlet Pin Stripe Wrasse (3")

Tanaka's Pygmy Wrasse (2.5")

White Banded Possum Wrasse (2.5")

Those are all beautiful wrasses that I feel could stand 20L dimensions. I am thinking about upgrading to a 40B soonish too (within 6 months) so they could grow out in that. Any opinions?

How bout a blackcap basslet?

Basslets are awesome fish, but I'm mildly trying to keep the tank West Pacific fish.

Those are all good choices.

The best options for this tank would be the Filamented Flasher, Blue Flasher, and Carpenter's. If you are upgrading then there is no problem with any of those choicies.

It is settled then, McCosker Wrasse. I was thinking of also placing a purple firefish and a candy cane pistol in the tank and when I find a Hasha or Hi-fin I'll pair em up down the road. Stay tuned...

mccosker's are my favorite flashers :D I almost got one for my 40, but the addition of my sixline made that impossible. kinda wish I'd gone flasher instead; they're very interesting fish.

Were's that rock I sent you?

Traded it with the LFS, the "ultra premium fiji rock" was base rock with dead stuff all over it. Not going to add essentially uncured rock to my tank.

Received the McCosker and purple firefish and man are they impressive. Haven't seen the pistol since adding, but that was to be expected. Do you think if I ordered from liveaquaria again they could send me the correct fish sex too?

Talk to DD about a specific gender. IMO they are better than LA's normal site.

I guess, DD is usually more expensive.

This acro looks like it is going through STN perhaps? Should I try to frag it or just wait more...

It isn't RTN but some tissue in one spot is dying and very very slowly is spreading. The frag is only 2" maybe so I'm scared of fragging it.
