dla
I want to set up a lagoon with a 20 gallon long tank for a elegance coral only. I want to keep the setup simple, no overflow, sump etc. Just tank live rock, sand, heater and circulation pumps. I plan on getting the tank next week. any advice or .02 are well come. Link to comment
lakshwadeep
A lagoonal setup is a good choice since they apparently like higher nutrient waters than what most people keep. Here's some info: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/mar2002/feature2.htm http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-06/nftt/index.php http://www.wetwebmedia.com/elegance.htm It might be best to buy the coral online at a reliable source since getting a healthy specimen sounds like a challenge in and of itself. KMG
Check with Dr. Mac--they have some aquacultured elegance corals for sale. They'd be much hardier than the wild-collected specimens. Add a pair of captive-bred Banggais, and you have a little biotope! purple-tipped AC elegance coral pink-tipped AC elegance coral Link to comment
