briancv Posted July 30, 2010 Share Posted July 30, 2010 It has a white, bubbly stalk, and the head rolls in like a zoa. However, I have never seen the polyp type head flatten out to call it a zoa. The small arms always seem to be pointing towards the light and it doesn't retract into the rock. Any thoughts? (Pictures aren't the best, still learning with the camera, sorry) Link to comment

jeremai Posted July 31, 2010 Share Posted July 31, 2010 lol, this thread delivers. it looks like Isaurus tuberculata, commonly called snake polyps. they're related to zoanthids and the like. partially photosynthetic, but don't usually require supplemental feeding in tanks with fish. hth.
