sal9012
The local ones pretty cheap... All the corals in my tank cost somewhere around $20. Zoa/paly $1 per kind The colors isn't as intense as the ones you guys have though, most of my zoas is still a bit brownish, hope they'll dispose the brown algae and change color. Mine: Sushi's: Hope you don't mind me using your pic Sushi... Orange Yuma $2 Green Yuma $1 Favia $2 (Bought from friend) Torch Coral $1 GSP $2 Green/Purple Mushroom $0.5 Those are insane prices!, I wish we had those here I would provably had about 200 yumas @ $1-$2 Don't worry about your colors, they will turn stunning once the tank matures. fly_boer
Thanks for all the comments guys.... -coolwaters Yeah i guess so, i just hope the fisherman doesn't over harvest the reef... -sal9012 I do hope the colors would change, would dosing iodide help the process ?? Here's some actinic only shot, love how the zoas looks under it : and the only fish in the tank (Still can't manage to take a pic of the shrimp...): Link to comment
sal9012
Thanks for all the comments guys.... -sal9012 I do hope the colors would change, would dosing iodide help the process ?? I usually don't dose iodine, but I know softies like it. I'm guessing zoas too. Vitamin C (if you do it properly) will help as well as BW Coral Amino but your zoas will color nicely (and provably morph) all by themselves under LED's. Keep your parameters and give them time, you will see. thank look great by the way Link to comment
fly_boer
Dosing Vitamin C ? Thats new information to me... Just did a quick search... I might try it, after lots of research of course. Link to comment
.Newman.
lol seachem reef + i think its called. this reminds me I have to dose my two drops today lol. Link to comment
fly_boer
Is dosing seachem reef plus the same as dosing vitamin c ?? Read that it contains traces of copper, i know its just a small amount... but if the stuff was meant to be used in larger tank, would it not pollute the water in pico tank ?? Link to comment
.Newman.
well it contains vitamins so i assume vitamin C is in there. a drop or two in a pico is not the same as the capful per 20 gallons as suggested on the label ^_^ I just dose a drop or two to help my reef along. Link to comment
reeftankguy
I dose 2.5ml of SC Reef Plus every other day. Good stuff! Link to comment

fly_boer
Update 22 August 2010: I had to leave the tank on its own for a week or so, and somehow along the week one of the extra T5 that was glued to the fixture had fallen into the tank. It killed most of my zoas and goby fish. Surprisingly the blood shrimp survived, all the remaining corals was in a very bad shape. Moved every corals into a bucket, and had to do a 30% water change for three days before moving it all back to the tank. Well... That was three weeks ago, here's how the tank looks now. And added some new livestock : Bought these a week after the crash: These were just added yesterday: Link to comment
Mr. Microscope
These were just added yesterday: This - is - f'in - amazing!!! How much was this one? Sorry to hear about your crash. Link to comment
fly_boer
This - is - f'in - amazing!!! How much was this one?Sorry to hear about your crash. This one was sold as a pack in one piece of rock, there were 8 of the same type of yumas in one rock. It cost me Rp.20.000(US$2) for all 8 of them. Link to comment
fly_boer
Here's a few more picture of how the tank is doing now... I tired every setting possible on my camera, without a tripod this the closest thing i could take that resembles how the tank actually looks like. Link to comment
