nobodyhasthisname Posted May 12, 2010 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Hi,everyone just wanted your opinion on Salts,I am planning to set up a pico reef which is 5gal,I am planning to go for red sea, http://www.redseafish.com/Prod190.asp just wanted your suggestion if that is all right or should i go for red coral pro salt http://www.redseafish.com/Prod283.asp Does it make any difference,cause i will be doing a 10% water change every week.If anyone have any experience using red sea salt,please share. Austin Posted May 12, 2010 Share Posted May 12, 2010 I have used the Coral Pro - currently I use Reef Crystals (cheaper from where I get it). No noticeable difference one way or another. I guess the reef/coral mixes have more magic in them for coral splendor. You'll have good luck with just about any well-known brand so long as you are using DI or RO water and maintaining a a consistent SG of 1.024-1.026. Link to comment
