tizzite
I broke a 10 g aquarium today! I think I have a good technique for derimming now. You can use a box cutter to shave the edges of the black plastic and it should come off in two strips. You gotta be extra careful around the corners. I'll be following this thread, because I want to do the exact same thing! Link to comment
Jerfrog
yup thats how i did it ^^ Im trying to decide between a 5.5 or a 10... Link to comment

Jake42393
okayy pics! okay so here how it works.. Maxijet 900. first. with the suction cup attachment, i cut the sides off, slipped the suction cup in the other side, and superglued it in place. next, i took this piece ( came in box- its not needed) and cut it in half slip one of the half pieces onto the side of the maxijet, and then slip the suction cupped piece on. slip a 1/2 pvc into the slip bulkhead ( i spraypainted the pvc black so its identical to the color of the bulkhead. ) get 5/8 tubing and slide that into the bulkhead, zip tie the tubing to the maxijet. and there it is! also. i saw my dog who likes to burrow herself, climb into a pillow on my bed. i had to take a pic of it ;D thats all! time to start buying accessories. -50W Stealth Heater -nimble nano? ( reviews anyone? ) i dont think i need any powerheads in display because the flow feels pretty strong from the maxijet. Im hoping i get some stuff for this tank for christmas otherwise i have to start saving up again! Link to comment

Jake42393
for scaping i think i want to buy some dry rock from johnmaloney. i like live rock but i think its too hard to find the scape you want from random live rock pieces.. i think Dry rock might be a lot better and ill just epoxy or whatever it takes to get them to stick together. im thinking of possibly doing two tower scapes. not 100% sure but i havent had enough thought into it yet. Llamaguy
go to the auto parts store and get a roll of window tint. They should have a non adhesive window cling style that's easy to put on and remove if necessary. Shouldn't got more than $12-ish for way more than you need. Link to comment
