There are many varibles that will determine how long it will take your tank to cycle, including, but not limited to what type of rock you have and how much die-off occurred prior to placing it in the tank, the same with live sand. Be patient, what I did was begin testing 24 hours after I put in my rock and sand. My rock had minimal die-off, so the ammonia peak was quite low and the tank cycled within 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. IME, it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks or longer. Test to monitor your cycle, all tanks are going to be different! ;)

That is pritty much what I thought. I just wanted to see what other people thought. I had planned to cycle the tank for a month or more just to make shure. thanks for the info.
