JohnnyMTB
There are no expected levels, it will all depend on how much die off you had on your live rock. When ammonia is stable at zero you're done. Everybody will have different readings for 'trites and 'trates. Link to comment
Yves
0 across the boards if at all possible, if you used uncured rock that will start your cycle- Yves Link to comment
MB3
Aggie, The cycle is ammonia to nitrite to nitrate. Ammonia and Nitrite should be 0, nitrate will build up over time and lead to algae blooms etc. It is possible some corals don't like nitrates, but I don't know that as I'm a reef newb. Nothing a weekly water change won't cure. I found a great cycling article on this site too: http://www.nano-reef.com/articles/?article=8 Good luck! Link to comment
