Thanks for the positive comments, guys!

Just as I mention before, I was going to wait to add something else to the tank. But today, just stop to check on new arrivals at my LFS, and got a nice deal, four head of pink and blue Ricordeas for $40, that's ten bucks a head, not bad for a newbie. :D

They also had a nice rock with blue mushroom, but I think I'll stick to the plan. More Ricordeas, more Zoanthids, Torch Coral & Open Brain...

Good deal on the rics. Any pics of them?

I snap a couple of pics of my new Ricordeas today. Got them off the rumble they came on, and I'm going to glue them to my rock to start my Ricordea garden...

Hey everyone!

Today, when I got home from work, look at my tank and everything looked, very happy. Every piece of coral was open, fish were swimming peacefully, my system looked so full of life and beauty.

Anyways, I jump, got my camera and snap a couple of FTS.......Enjoy! :D

Ok I will edit my post as long as you edit yours and change my name to Brad instead of Brat. LMAO

 Sorry Brad...

They have pair good so far. I looked at them for about three weeks at my LFS, before I bought them. I love both of them....

Also for anyone else who's wondering about getting a pair of clowns. Should check the following video from our fellow member "The_Yellow_Pony", it will clear any doubts...

I'm planning to add another fish in four months, once my ecosystem gets more stable. I like to add a Six Line Wrasse or a Yellow Watchman, but I'm not sure which one yet. Any thoughts?

Just as planned, I added a Koralia nano to create turbulence and kill my linear flow. At the beginning, I was concern because some of my corals close up, but after a day everything acclimated to the new flow good.

I also spot a few heads of Aiptasia growing in my LR. I'm thinking about trying the natural way to get rid of them, buying a Peppermint Shrimp. Don't want to try Aiptasia X, I feel this tank is too small, and I'm going to hurt other corals with it.

Today, I placed an order with Coral Morphologic, and I can say they have great prices and beautiful selection in Ricordeas and Zoanthids. ;)

did u buy a colony or just a polyp?

I bought a 60+ colony of Zoanthids plus about 6 colorful Recorders. Want to get my island loaded!

Also looking at my tank today, I found another Hitchhiker "Vermetid Gastropod" in my Fire Zoanthids colony.

Should I try to get rid of it? I read they harmless, but they are keeping part of my Zoos polyps closed. :(

Well, time for a short update.

I received my order from Coral Morphologic, on Wednesday around noon. And let me tell you, I only have great things to said about this sponsor. Excellent communication, professionally packed, all my corals looked as advertise, and I even got a beautiful free frag with my order.

Thanks again, Colin. :) I'll definitely buy from you again.

All the Ricordeas looked amazing, and I know all of you would like to see pics, but some of them came in not attached to anything. So, I put some in a cup with some LR rumble, and as soon I get them to attach I'll post some pics. I promise.

Now, I'm thinking to get a nice Torch coral to add in the top left of my tank. What you guys think? I'll appreciate any other suggestions...

  • 3 weeks later...

Sorry, that I haven't posted nothing during the last few weeks. But here's what had happened so far...

Aiptasia started popping worse than pop adds while surfing the net for free porn... :D

Well, got a Peppermint shrimp and he took care of that in less than three nights, the following weekend got a skunk cleaner shrimp on sale for 10 bucks. Awesome little fellow.... Also got a yellow tip green torch. I'm still debating where to place it. Any tips?

Last weekend, when to one of my LFS, and got three different colonies of Zoanthids. Fire and Ice is one of them, but don't know names of the other two. Probably someone here will recognize them, and help me name them.

Tomorrow I'm going to my first meeting with members of our local association, I'll chat and meet everyone. It's all very exciting...

I'm only posting three pictures tonight, later on, I'll post more. I'm trying to borrow a better camera to take more close ups. Enjoy!

Tank is really coming along. I love that ric garden you have going on there. Is that a candy cane coral up a little ways? What's in the cup? Nice score on the zoas as well. I'm looking for some smaller frags of red/orange or blue zoas.

The torch does look out of place there but I couldn't tell you where to put it haha. I finally picked up a duncan. If I picked up some xenia do you think it will spread crazily?

I moved my rocks around and open up a big space to add a couple of more pieces of LR in. I'm also thinking of moving that torch down to the bottom right of my tank. In the glass shot there's another Ricordea getting attach to rubble. (Thanks Jon)

Don't know what's happening to that small colony of pink dye zoanthids, open for like a week and then close up and never open again. Any Ideas?

You wanted to know about my opinion Xenia. Just get a head, and place it high in the rock, that way it won't walk much, spreading less in your tank. That's what I did... ;)

Hey, also I would like to see pics of your new additions.

Looking good. Those zoas are the shet.I got a small head of xenia and it has taken off probally 3 times the size in the last 4 weeks. Just wanted to stop in and say hey and everything is looking good. Is that coraline I see starting to pop up on the back wall? :D

Brad

Edit you talking about the zoas behing the frog spawn? I know that frogspawn has 2 inch tenacles that come out maybe the came out and stung them or scared them and they haven't opened since. Might need to move the frog to its own locating.

Is that rumble or rubble? haha jk

That would be a good place to move the torch to. Maybe move the zoas. It is not happy there I'm assuming.

Hey Brad!

Thanks 4 posting. Yes you might be right, but actually they closed up when they were on the sand, next to my fire Zoas colony, I just place them there to try, tough they needed more light. If not I'll move them again.

Hey did you start your thread yet? I'll like to see what you been doing, after mowing the lawns... :D
