Hoonie778
I just caught Noodle (cleaner shrimp) cleaning Comrade Jesus (wrasse)!! Ohhh the symbyosis! So I got home from a bar, and I couldn't find my Comrade I searched and searched, and then found him in the back of the tank with the powerhead... grrr! I fished him out, but he got pretty dirty while trolling around my filter floss I just went to check on him, to make sure he was all cool and less stressed, AND there he was! Getting a spa treatment from Noodle! CUTE! Link to comment

Hoonie778
Took some cute pics today! First one is Craig in the rockwork. He was waving his pom-poms around Next is a closeup of the Feather Duster wormie And finally, Comrade Jesus put himself to bed about 10 minutes before lights out. Here you can see him all cuddly and cozy on the sandbed, wedged between two rocks and with his mucus web around him! Link to comment

Hoonie778
Nice pics, damb it now i want a pom pom pair. Get two or three! They're super cute, and were only like $10 each I'd definitely get multiple though, because they can hide very well, so at any given point I usually can only find one or the other, but never both Here's some pics I took this afternoon. I fed my brain: Colonel Spikeface has a strange looking mouth: Colonel Spikeface tried to wear the feather duster worm as a hat, as you can see, the feather duster didn't mind much... sigh: Noodle molted again! Maybe I have too much iodine in my system! FTS: Some clown pics, they never are still, so getting good photos of them is proving difficult... grrrr: Enjoy! Link to comment
NanoReefNovice
lol @ Colonel Spikeface, he's always gettin into shenanigans. so whats new? Link to comment
Hoonie778
Not too much new. I got some GSP, mounted it on the backwall (I hope someday it'll be all over the back wall!) There's still a little piece of GSP I have shoved into my branching Tonga rock Colonel Spikeface likes to wear the GSP as a hat. It's cute. I've been experimenting with an Eheim auto-feeder. So far, so good! I'm going to Europe for three weeks in July and want to make sure that the auto-feeder is feeding how I want it to! Link to comment
Hoonie778
Here's some random updates about my tank My mag-float has become a breeding ground for pods It's kinda neat, but kinda irritating because I don't want to use the mag-float because it'll kill the pods.... I have observed at least 10 baby stomatellas out at night... NEAT! My zoas appear to be doing very well and are sprouting little new buds all the time Found a few pineapple sponges on my LR... yay filter feeders! At feeding time, there are hundreds... literally hundreds of little brittle starfish legs waving around from every nook and cranny of the tank And here are so much needed pic updates: Spirorbis!!! (the little white curly things on my rock) Feather Duster Worm I didn't buy! Oh Stomatella! Pineapple Sponge My GSP seems to be doing very well indeed. I have it glued to the back wall of my tank. And just for fun, here's a super cheesy pic of me from today mountain biking in Sedona! Link to comment
Hoonie778
I did something impulsive I had a dr's appointment, and the dr was right next to this fish store I'd never been too! So I stopped in Saw some beautiful sun coral And bought it. I BOUGHT IT WTF is wrong with me?!!?!?!? I'm going on vacation for three weeks in July, and the auto-feeder is not going to cut it for the sun coral.... I have regrets Le poo. Link to comment

Hoonie778
Few facts about my life: 1. I "work" from home 2. I have so much free time, I usually spend my days: a. Smothering myself in SPF 65 (I'm Scottish) and laying in my pool b. Watching endless hours of mindless TV, recently I've been watching "Intervention". It's awesome. c. Cuddling with my two dogs d. Cooking elaborate meals for myself e. Staring at and doting over my fish tank Point of all of this is that I've spent a considerable amount of time each day since I got my new sun coral trying to train them to stay open all the time. I've been feeding them at random times small amounts of food during the day.... and it worked out! They've been open for the past two days, and are no longer shy of the turkey baster! Score!!! Observe: Also, my sweet tuxedo urchin, Colonel Spikeface, has grown an afro. I'm sure I should actually remove it so it doesn't spread around my tank, but it's so cute I'm going to leave it until I see a problem arise. Link to comment
Hoonie778
Just got a new camera A fancy one Canon Rebel SLR something So new pics will be posted soon!! Not too much is new, got some mushrooms All fishies are fantastic My wrasse keeps eating my feather duster worm though To keep this from continuing, I moved the feather duster worm to be near my YWG's burrow My YWG won't let the wrasse anywhere near the burrow, and so far it's working well! Hoonie778
So here are some pics with the new Canon SLR camera Still don't really know how to work it.... As you can see, I got a new rock of purpley mushrooms. That's all. I'm leaving next week for Europe. I'll be gone for 3 weeks. I've got an auto-feeder and my sister will do topoffs and random checks. Hopefully all will be ok, but I'm so worried about my fishie babies. Link to comment

Hoonie778
Back from Europe! ALL IS WELL!!! The eheim auto-feeder worked beautifully. My sister checked up on the fish after 1.5 weeks and topped off the tank, fed frozen food, etc Hooray! To celebrate my triumphant return, I went out and bought a nice green ricordea, and a new striped mushroom And..... Something else. I'll wait to announce the new lady with a proper photo. (my SLR camera broke in Europe, so now I'm camera-less other than my iphone) YAY! Link to comment
NanoReefNovice
good to hear sorry about the camera . Link to comment
Hoonie778
Dear Diary: All of my fishies are super duper. They seem very happy. My open brain coral is not happy now that my BW clown has decided to rub in it constantly... grrr... My open brain is now experiencing tissue recession (but still seems to be growing lots!) I have recently started to use ChemiPure Elite, and I LOVE IT! I love love love how crystal clear it makes my water. I've started looking around for used 20in halides. I've also started researching RBTA's. Pretty sure I'm going to get one. I just love how pink they are!! That's all. Sarah out. Link to comment
