jof
update: The tank is running very well. Phosphate = 0 Nitrate = 1 As you can see the substrate is brown, this is because i have to change the filters of my RO-device. The silicates are a bit high. Link to comment
metrokat
How are you measuring silicates? Link to comment
jof
I measure sillicates with a Salifert testkit. Link to comment
jof
I finally got rid of the Dino's. I used DinoXal and this works very well!! My fish are happier now, the sand is clean and my snails stay alive (5 died because of the dino's). The SPS lost their colour a little bit but they are recovering. My Pajama Cardinal fish, Azure Damselfish, snails and shrimp have eggs. Link to comment

jof
The dino's where gone in about 2-3 weeks. There where no problems with the corals and fish when i was using dinoxal. So when you have dino's, use dinoxal, it works great! Link to comment

jof
Replaced the lights. From maxspect g2-250 to a ghl mitras lx. The maxspect went from blue to white and yellow within 3 weeks. About 5 leds are burned and the rest are a bit black. I had the maxspect for just 2 years. Pics will follow later. Link to comment
jof
The corals are growing fast!! I am using ALK buffer every other day. The ALK drops from 7 to 3.5 in a day or two. Does anyone know why the ALK drops this fast? Link to comment
glennr1978
Your tank looks great! Must be a lot of work keeping up w/ the alk, ca, and mg demands with that much SPS in such a small volume of water. Good job! Link to comment
