Keep in mind that when you test your water with cal/alk/mag etc.. you should be at 1.026 Also make sure your refractometer is calibrated with the pinpoint 53ms salinity calibration solution. Chebon Posted September 29, 2008 Share Posted September 29, 2008 I usually aim for 1.026 the same as NSW but for the summers I've been dropping that down to 1.025 so I can leave my ceiling fan on full speed nonstop instead of getting a chiller and not have to worry about it rising too high.
