av8ffej
So I had to share this with a group of people that may appreciate it. I'm thinking about setting up a coldwater biotope and have been shopping for all the requisite equipment that would be needed. I don't think it's likely that I'm going to go forward with it, but all this is beside the point. I just found a chiller online that has really outdone itself and made it's job really difficult if the specs are right: "LCD Electronic Temperature Controller - This device is operable from a distance of up to 400 feet and has a superior accuracy for pinpoint temperature control of -30 °F to 220 °F." -30°F? Just what I was looking for the Tardigrade Biotope. Link to comment
AlaskaMatt
Are you sure thats a chiller? And not a temperature controller for a chiller like http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...mp;pcatid=13967? Link to comment

av8ffej
You're keeping tardigrades?! LOL No, although that would be pretty good though. And low maintenance! Just have to make sure you don't make cocktails with them. The Water Bear biotope thread would be thin on updates. "Day 598 - I think I might thaw them out for spring." Link to comment
lakshwadeep
Not to mention sending them out to space! http://space.newscientist.com/article/dn14...m-of-space.html Link to comment
