MidiMouse Posted August 20, 2003 Share Posted August 20, 2003 I've been cycling my 8g for about 6 days now with Nature's Ocean and Live Rock from my lfs. A bunch of featherdusters have opened up and some pink flowery things are growing on some of the rock. I've been monitoring my water parameters daily and there was no nitrite spike at all. It has always remained at 0ppm. My ammonia rose up a little but now is at .5ppm. Initially my Nitrates were at 0ppm, but now it is at 10ppm. Did it just skip the nitrite spike? Also, overnight there was been a big diaton bloom on my sand. Thanks. -Lam Link to comment
