Acoustic
Hey.............. I understand and appreciate your rockwork. Here's why: = You intentionally left plenty of top room to allow corals to grow. I get really annoyed when I see rock stacked full in a tank. I think to myself, "Self. Hello.....Where are this idiots corals supposed to grow." Thank you and good work. = I really like the spire. It creates a great way to let low growing corals like GSP and Ricordia grow into infamy. It also allows maximum viewing of them. =Lastly those kind of rock formations look natural. A rock concrete wall does not. So those are my compliments/rants. Link to comment
CalciumOverdose
YES... thanks acoustic for noticing.. starting the tank came with alot of thinking for me.. design elements was in mind.. i wanted to be able to divide my tank into 3 sectors and be able to critique it.. I too have gotten tired of the box with rocks view, but im still hunting for a few perfect live rock..to finish out some gaps now, for the next plan, coral placement.. there will be a few sps that are already in mind, which will be placed near each other. in a way for them to compete with space, i believe it to be a more natural look.. and non compatible ones to be away from each other.. Joe
Lots of hair algae. An easy fix for it would be a few snails. they will munch on it pretty fast. Very pretty reef though. I like the open water look with enough room for the sps to grow. keep up the good work! Link to comment
CalciumOverdose
Yes nice hair algae.. im not a fan of many hermit crabs..but thankfully, the algae is starting to go away. Link to comment

CalciumOverdose
oh, i dont really have problems IDing my corals. some are just too small, and barely hard to see its skelleton growth. but thanks for the offer, i sure would ask you when i do need it. Link to comment
