Metzzen1
I vote for more light than that. a single 70W MH will not spread out enough to completely light a 20 long. I say 2x24" T5 HO instead in a nice slim hood that spans the tank. Could use a large piece of bamboo for the housing of the lights (would need to be about 6.5-7" in diameter to house both bulbs) but if you painted it black it may look pretty cool. hmm I might have to try that on my desktop tank im building. throw a few snails in your fuge too. That MH would be good to put right over the clam but the rest of the tank needs lighting too. I have 2 70W DIY's that i may be interested in selling if your interested. pm me if so. Link to comment
Amerijuanican
I'm going with a single 70W MH because I have the RBTA in my Reef Tank under 150W MH and it hates it... so I'm going to go with the 70W... the Derasa clams don't need a whole lot of light... the 70W MH should be plenty. This thing is huge! I sold my other two smaller RBTA's and bought this one: New FTS: Zoo Macros I shot using my Nikon S51 and a little eye-loop for looking at tattoo needles. I think they came out pretty cool.: Turbo Snail's mouth using the same set-up as above: New Black and White Clowns. John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Because they are some mean SOB's. Oh, and this one: rearranged the scaping yesterday... I'll post pics hopefully tomorrow after the RBTA has stopped moving (hopefully... he keeps burning things! ) Link to comment
