Easy solution: Bryan puts a click-through on his site just before finalizing the order that says, basically, that, while he strives to make sure his stock is healthy and clean of hitchhikers upon shipment, it is possible that some frags will be shipped with predators (including said nudi). Further, since some zoanthids are toxic, care should be used in handling them including the use of latex gloves.

 

You can't assume that people ordering from him know how to handle livestock ... a little bit of eductation would dramatically cut back on the hysteria.

 

As for the source ... I'd doubt very, very much that these nudis are typical hitchhikers on LR. These guys only eat polyps. Period. End of story. Between shipping, curing, and sitting in a cycling tank they'd stand a pretty good -> excellent chance of starving. But ... if you handle many, many polyps ... well ... odds are pretty good you'll eventually get some. And, from what I've read, they're a PITA to rid yourself of.
