Haha, Hoob, it's not the stand and hood that make the tank, it's what's inside and I couldn't possibly do any better job than you have.

check out reefkeeping's tank of the month:

not technically a pico at 8 gallons but I think a lot of that is in the height of the tank.

I was able to coax a 1/2 inch group of 8-10 green acropora plugs into a complete 4 inch table top acro growth over a 1 year period in this 3/4 gallon sealed pico reef. Some of the highlights of this system was that it was sealed, no topoff at any time, and had about 10 species of coral and a panda goby that was under 1/2 inch in total length. This reef has been on public display at the Science Spectrum numerous times and was the culmination of 7 years of my experimentations in pico reef designs. A subrefugium in the rear under the seal of the main lid produced oxygen for the system.
