Congratulations on getting the tank out of the box in under 50 pages!

How did the thread get this big anyway?

Thank you, you'll find the recipe below.

1 part concept, 1 part animated gif, 1 part internet meme, 2 parts nonsense

It most likely has something to do with me.

I am glad your tank made it safely. I'm also disappointed to hear about your seam work. I guess it will prepare me for my arrival. I will have the razor blade ready and waiting. Hopefully I will get a tracking number soon. It's been a week since I ordered; so I guess they are on par for the shipping time...lol

Looks awesome, the clarity looks amazing! Can't wait to see it wet!

So is the tank wet yet? All this typing and no pics?????
he still has to work on the stand, I think he hopes to have it ready and cycled by march :)

I'd like to bring home some choice pieces on March 10.

Thanks. I hope your tank arrives with cleaner results.

The 'standard' Artisan tanks @ my LFS looked good.

Be sure to keep me posted.

I'll PM you some of the more 'grisly' photos I took when I get home.

:D

I may try to drill my my 20H sump while you're gone.

I'm leaning back toward using a gravity-fed ATO.

I might drill the sump for the return pump too.

I hate having such provisional plans.

Before the Sistine Chapel, Michael Angelo worked on the Pope's tomb. It involved several human statues, something for which Michael Angelo was best known and had no rival.

Michael set about the sculptures the same way he set about everything he did. One stroke at a time. It's said that he would sometimes make a single motion, then stand back and observe for 10 minutes before making another. Eventually his sponsors grew tired of this and decide to calculate how long the tomb would take.

Had the Pope not diverted his attention to the Chapel, Michael Angelo would have become a permanent fixture of the tomb, leaving nearly half the work unfinished.

Sadly, well never get to know what would have been Michael Angelo's unfinished work. Instead all we have is the Cistine Chapel. :P

Salvador Dali, now there's a man who knows how to leave them wanting more. ;)

My point is, the unfinished work is the greater masterpiece. Some day, this thread will be worth millions! :D

I wish I had a source for that XINANDOUT cause it is really neat. I really want to see its install and operation.

In the meantime I ordered a Custom CAD drilled.

Good choice, looking forward to your CAD build thread.

Also, it's an Oceanlife Overflow, very similar to the X-Aqua.

I ordered mine through Furious Fish Barcelona after seeing them for sale on the Acuarística blog.

I contacted Oceanlife in Italy, and they were willing to ship one, but I figured using one of their vendors would work out just as well.

I figure when you deal with a company you either have a great experience, or an opportunity to test their Customer Service. inTank CS is super legit, as evidenced above with the quickness to rectify my order, included return label, and free ####. Overall, a good experience as I'm in no particular hurry. I've yet to use anything, so I'll report back if something blows up. GFY StevieT...ya big greedy fat cat. But srsly, thanks! B)

Should be able to fully plumb the RODI unit tonight. WET

Now, does anyone want to buy any new, unused BRS filters?

2nd/3rd stage, MATRIKX +1/+CTO/2 carbon blocks. Link
