Stand is done. Going to bring it home on Thursday, then get everything attached to the stand so I can set it in place and get some goddamn water in it.

I don't mind damsels but my friend has a sailfin and purple tang and is getting ready to get an achilles tang, just doesn't want the damsels beating up on it.

Dear lord it's been some time since I've even done anything to this thing, got caught up with a few other projects that forced this thing to the back burner. Anyways, I wasn't really a fan of the original AIO wall, so I pulled it off and made my own out of 1/4" black acrylic. Picking up the return pump and heaters on Saturday and also a piece of starboard. I wanted to get the light done before getting it running but I may aswell get it cycled asap. Still need to cut out a slot for the overflow and drill a hole for the return.

Also, going to make an acrylic media basket for mechanical and possibly gfo and carbon. Thinking about going with a Tunze 9004 skimmer for it.

Good call making the new false wall. Never really liked the Solana's back wall either when I had one a while back.

Yeah, I made my own AIO out of a bare bones Solana tank as I didn't like the pre-fab one. Glad I did. My Tunze 9004 works well.

I really like a cube and 20" is about perfect size wise for me. I can just touch the bottom with my arm all the way in to my pit. Any bigger and I couldn't touch bottom. Although, I don't do that too often (I have a grabby stick), It is nice to be able to in a mergency.

Thanks. Yeah I wasn't a fan of the original wall, just flimsy ABS plastic. I was originally going to build the skimmer section bigger and run a SCA-301 in it but then I found the 9004 and figured it'd be a better option.

I didnt like the first one I did, it had a bad bow to it so I bought some more acrylic and redid it. Siliconed it in yesterday. Also picked up a Tunze 9004 and a pair of 50w Jager heaters. I also just picked up a piece of white acrylic for the bottom. Going to silicone that down later today. Going to try to get the light done before I fill it up, just because it'll be easier to route wires when the tank isn't up against the wall.

I'm just spouting off lol. I was reading something on another site where everyone was saying an acrylic overflow won't hold onto a glass tank well enough to work. Then I remember moving the tank across the floor earlier by the aio wall without even thinking about it, then I went well shit, that's a decent bond.

Depends 100% on the silicone used, and even then, improper silicones will still hold up to a little pressure (but not too much of it).

Sold my led stuff, bought an AI prime, more than likely will buy another one. This is definitely a cool little light. Going to get it mounted tomorrow. I wanted to get the tank running next weekend but with RAP coming up I may hold off until the following weekend.

Only gripe I have is, well two, the swivel mount is basically a joke, I understand they were trying to be creative by letting you swivel it but it's very loose even when tightened all the way, second, this bitch gets hot, we had it on my friends tank sitting on the egg crate with just the blues on and it literally melted the eggcrate. But still a really cool light for the price.

Wow great looking tank. Your aquascape looks awesome. Following along with this one. I've got a friend selling his solana tank that's been gutted and drilled with a glass holes kit. Looks great and he's trying to sell it for $150(good deal?) might buy it and we can have a east coast west coast rivalry. Lol
