mew Posted November 10, 2009 Share Posted November 10, 2009 And this is the beginning of my azooxanthellae and macroalgae planted nano tank! the focus will be on non-photosynthetic corals, with unique and decorative macroalgae to accent and complement. my inspiration were various beautiful non-photosynthetic tanks, like Uhuru's tank, Pieter van Suijlekom's tank, and also drop-off reefs such as the famous Philippe Grosjean tank. tank - 10 gallon Visio glass rimless tank (15" x 14" x 11") heater - Hydor Theo 150w water movement - Maxijet 400, Koralia Nano, Light - Aquamedic 70w MH Live Rock - 8 lbs dry rock Orange/Yellow Schlereonepthya Carnation Red Diodogorgia nodulifera Gorgonia Yellow Menella Gorgonia Purple Unknown Gorgonia Yellow Suncoral Dendrophyllia Various macroalgaes Link to comment

mew Posted November 16, 2009 Author Share Posted November 16, 2009 so my lfs told me i'm getting my tank on the 25th (my birthday) nice birthday gift to myself. although it does put me a little behind the rest of the pack. also, there will be a change of plans. well, actually, i'm really reverting back to my original plan. i don't want to reveal too much yet, until I physically get the tank, but I will show this: and two words: NPS drop-off and for the record, here is my official entry picture: It's a dummy tank until my real tank arrives. It's actually pretty close to the real tank's dimensions. Link to comment

If you go with the NFS set-up, you will make me really jealous! If I didn't have so many other corals and plans to take down my 28g, I would be all over it. There are some pieces I have that I can't deal with letting go of. Looking forward to updates from you though.
