Kijho
Looks really great - I have to say, the amount of rocks you have in this Spec V is probably the absolute most perfect amount. Link to comment

2004jeeplaredo
Just bought a new LED light for my tank and future tank. I wanted a dimmable full spectrum that was bright. I also am upgrading to a 20 gal in the near future and didn't want to spend alot for a light for my spec v and then have to buy another for the bigger. I ended up getting a 165 watt full spectrum Fixture on amazon and hanging it above my tank about 7in off the water. It's sorta big for a 5 right now but works and will be even better for my 20 in the future. The spectrums great and for 120$ on amazon I'm excited for its capabilities. Link to comment
2004jeeplaredo
HERE IT IS!!! Got it on amazon for 120$ and love the capabilities and look. cant wait to get it above the IM Fusion 20 in the future. Right now its turned up just before the fans kick on ( 15-20%). and is as bright as my old 3 watt LED fixture was. loving the full spectrum! Link to comment

Im loving it, i was worried about the size but even over a 5 gallon its not bad and i am excited to see it above the 20 gal. Link to comment

righttirefire
I thought about a spec v as a QT tank. Ideally my current 20h will become a refugium or a QT tank for the 40b I want. Or just a simple 10g as QT with incandescent. And turn it into refugium and use the 20h for a QT tank... decisions, decisions Link to comment

Waiting to see if im moving soon so dont want to set it up for less then a year then move. Id rather move a 5 gallon. I thought about a spec v as a QT tank. 2004jeeplaredo
Im going to my LFS today to look for some more rock to add to may scape. Hoping to find a corner piece or have them cut a rock with a 90 degree corner to fit in under my pump on the right side and Ill mold some puddy with rubble to make a holder to hold my torch a little higher and out and will make more room for corals around it. Will post pics asap. Link to comment
2004jeeplaredo
Tanks not in good shape. RIP Pistol Shrimp. I did some rescaping a few days ago and moved two rocks around. some junk got stirred up in the move and one of my SPS is loosing tissue bbadley and my other corals are pissed and some deformed but worst of all my pistol is gone without a trace, he and my goby were living under a rock I didnt touch but pumped once. The sands flat where he use to burrow and my goby has moved to a new rock and no longer in the one the shrimp was in. RIP little dude. After a year and a few months of great luck I guess it was bound to happen. I hope my other corals recover. That being said. Im really happy with the new scape. made more room for corals and added a new island of rock. once things settle ill post a new pic. Link to comment
addam4208283
how are things going with the tank? your pics look amazing, and the new light looks sick! I'm tossing around the idea of either doing pretty much he same set up as your original one. with this light http://www.aquatraders.com/LED-Aquarium-Lighting-EVO-Marine-Reef-p/56543.htm . it looks to be similar to your original one. i was also just thinking about doing a reg standard 10 gal with a hang on back filter , powerhead, and the light in the link above. not sure which way i want to go yet. the 10 will give me more room, but i like how streamline the spec v is. do you think the light in the link will be enough for sps, lps, etc in a 10? adam Link to comment

The light in the link is the one i started with. It is a good option for the money. The 10 is nice for size but isnt as pleaseing as an all in one. I would even look at a IM fusion 10 Link to comment
