I think they look like star polyps of some sort.

I agree it looks like it has a mat, and the edges are even puple like gsp. Do the polyps close, if agitated?

xenia - polyps extending from a central base attached to creeping mat

anthelia - polyps extending directly from creeping mat

hard to tell from picture, cant see base well enough

Yes the polyps do close if agitated, and the mat looks just like that of my star polyps, only pink instead of purple.
