My friend likes to buy coral he can't care for...

My friend has issues with maintaining his tank but he continues to buy many coral and over stocking his tank... upside to me i get alot of his corals... downside, My tank is full and i don't have much room for anyting else...also i plan to buy a mandarin fish. think he will be happy?

As a rule, i dont like the idea of mandarin fih in aqauriums becuase of their tendancy to die, but if ur tanks developed, then in a tank like yours he would do good!

before you buy one.. see if you can find one that eats brine shrimp.. before i bought mine i made the LFS feed him.. he eats like crazy every night..

it is extremely hard to keep a mandarin. you shouldnt keep one in anything less than 100g. they eat pods only and usually never eat prepared foods or even brine shrimp. usafox got very lucky and has a rare find. check wetwebmedia.com they have a large amount of info on mandarins

u sh!thead. just to let u know (oosurfin im talking to), if u have a decent refugium, and can keep the copeods up to par in there... then u dont need a large tank. just need enough copeods. and, brine shrimp is not to healthy for a mandarin. try to ween it toward mysis shrimp, and frozen copeods.
