My 45 gal 8 months young, with the same clowns,damsels,serpent star, and black worm gobies who are now yellow. I have some mushrooms growing on rocks along with hard corals and feather dusters, i just added a green star polyp and two algae blennies, along with a sailfin tang the size of a quarter. I reccomend using purple up to any reef tank.

So that makes...what...like 9 fish? Do you have a sump, or is it just the 45 gals of water?

nahh its a canister filter, cascade 1000, and i have only decided to turn it into a reef recently, i did not plan on it 8 months ago.

Yea this is a sad pic, You must not be running the correct lighting or something, that tank should be purple! Go out and buy at least a 135W 50/50 Power Compact lighting for that tank. But I give you props though for trying.
