Do they use real coral for their tanks? Just curious cause there was a program on TV last night about an aquarium in Italy (I think) that uses fake coral. They would scrub the algae off periodically to maintain it.

the shark reef at mandalay bay in vegas uses fake coral, it was such a big let down...they did have yellow tangs the size of your head tho....

No this is 100% real coral and massive hundred and thousand pound pieces of live rock. They are half public aquarium, half coral propagation. They take broken shards of corals from the ocean floor and grow them into healthy colonies where they reintroduce them into the wild. The tank is lit by tons of 1000 watt halides. In that tank they have 5 foot wide capricornus, and giant sps colonies.

the aquarium is in spain rmulet and I saw that as well,sucks they use false coral

Well it depends what they are going for...they may house parrots or angels or other coral-eating creatures.
