this is one of the first hings that i noticed in my tank and i dont think its harmful( its been next to my rapidly growing gsp for about 2 months) but just to be safe does anyone know what t is?!

Looks like a rock anemone,it spreads very fast and could starve out other corals.

Aiptasia. You can buy Joe's Juice to wipe them out or get a Peppermint Shrimp if you have a bunch. If you do a search for Aipstasia on this site you will find a lot of possible solutions.

since it seems like its just one, save some money, dont buy anything and just boil some water(must be boiling) use a turkey baster and squirt a handful striaght into its mouth... the water will cook it and wont harm anything else...
