Going with dry rock and non live sand this time .... need to figure out what type of wave maker i want and nano skimmer suggestions?

Why dry sand?(not live) If you're looking for a hob skimmer, go with the aquamaxx hob-1. You won't have to worry about skimmer performance with that one. I use Jebao rw-4 with aqualink S1 controller.

Whats the total tank volume? Anything under 40 I don't bother with a skimmer but that is a highly debatable subject.

 

The RW-4 would be perfect though. Love that powerhead.

on your 20G you run it skimmerless???

It is a 20 gallon and i was thinking of the RW-4 the price is nice and looks like it will make a nice current. Just hope it is not too powerful
