nice! Been wanting to get some of those or one of the blocks. They're pricey though.

Make sure to have only pre filtered water go through these.

 

And they should be where you can agitate them and baste them regularly.

 

I'm not using them on future builds, they are not removing the amount of nutrients i had expected.

Mr. Microscope... I can say I've used marine pure balls and the blocks and I've been pretty impressed with them personally. worth trying. i'm not sure the balls are great for denitrification, however the blocks have been great (mind you cut in qtrs. due to size). I've found it helps my nitrates, able to feed more heavily instead of skimp.

The balls I think are great to used in freshwater. the blocks are better for marine. I think they complement good husbandry more so than a solution.

Sorry for the late replay. I probably will not be using them again. They did not reduce my nitrates any more than the regular matrix I use.
