Dr Who Zoanthids. A wild zoa - not sure if the name is generally acknowledged yet. I just liked them when I saw them at the store.

They look like lighter colored versions of green bay packers or gorilla nipples.

They are cool looking regardless. Eff names really, unless we are talking ORA Acros or something. I have "mummy eye" chalice that I flip over in the sand under a ledge. Two weeks later the chalice becomes 4 completely different colors, and I could at that point call it another whacky name lol.

You can see a lot more detail and colour in the photo than in the actual coral, which is a pity because I think the photo looks great!

 

The store owner said they were a collected zoa and that is what he was calling them and he would be interested to see if they caught on. I just thougt they looked neat!

 

I agree about names. They can help ensure people are talking about the same thing and they can even help you tell if something is probably going to look cool before you see it but unless you like the coral, a name is worthless.
