d0lph1n Posted July 24, 2012 First of all, I wanted a small cube (coming after a 40G disaster in a rented apartment). Then, I wanted minimum equipment and clean look. Then, I thought about balancing the pH by installing an identical tank (right tank) & identical lights (on reverse schedule) and computer (reef angel) to simulate sunrise/middle of the day/sunset for each tank (among other things)...and installing all these in an ikea bookshelf (looks cool but not practical). Yada yada yada, no regrets but I won't do it again. Today I strongly believe, for a minimalist approach: bare bottom, no live rock and 100% water changes and no dosing would have been a much better solution for me (http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2010/4/aquarium) Quote Link to comment
