I found this white tubular stuff in my tank a couple weeks ago and it didn't really bother me, i thought it might just disappear as fast as it appeared but for some reason it spreads pretty fast and i'm not really a fan of it. If you have any idea, please help me out. Thanks already :-)

I have a few in my tank. They're either sponges or tunicates and are completely harmless either way. If anything, they're beneficial and add diversity.

2nd Sponges. They may spread but usually stay to the shadows. I have 4 color forms of sponges that have all come as hitch hikers: orange, purple/black, pink and a yellow that fluoresces in the actinics. They are harmless. The tell tail that it’s a sponge is if there is a hole on the top of each of the high points.
