I love this shot (click for clearer image). Those are such peculiar little palys near the center. Sort of a favorite of mine, even though they aren't super colorful. I just love their weird little curly, prickly edges. They've also been doing some serious growing recently, after a small mysis squirt a week or two ago. Went from 7 polyps to 11 in the past 15 days. They're also very slowly gaining more color (had been a sort of teal when I bought them. Brought them home, put them under PC, and they turned dull. Nearly the same color as the LR. Very slowly gaining some greenish back!). Had 4 polyps originally when I bought them exactly 4 months ago tomorrow.

 

LIGHTING: the overall purple look comes mostly from the lighting. Par30 combo - 2RB, 1B, 1CW, 1NW.

Those are some sweet palys Julie. That light aqua blue coral in the upper right corner is quite a show piece as well. What is it?

Thanks :) The coral in the upper right corner is a Blasto merletti (the one just to the left of it is Blasto wellsi, for comparison). It used to have a lot more pink around the edges, but slowly over time it's become just a very thin outline.
