Glad to see you went with pvc, in the long run it will pay off, and the ball valve isnt really needed since all you have to do is turn off the return pump lol. Still nice to have I guess, just dont turn it with the pump still on or ull flood the display 0.0

Thanks yall! I have the PVC alittle smaller diameter than the flex hose but where the water comes out and then back into the sump, those conections are the same diameter. So the water going through should be the same! I hope it does work! if it does I think in time I will get the rest of everything all PVC'd UP!

Looks good do not restrict that drain. Show us some DIY skills and get that return pvced up you rookie. :)

By T ing off the return line with a gate valve letting a little water back into the sump. You can't run much flow thru a marineland stock plumbing drain because they are noisy. I have seen people throttle the return back with a valve but this burns out the pump premature. If you want saltwatercoral send me a pm I will send you a pic of my sump so you can see what I am talking about.
