paneubert Posted January 6, 2012 Looks sexy. But watch out....you run into floods when you restrict the overflow instead of the return. Quote Link to comment
JNA_DESIGN Posted January 6, 2012 Glad to see you went with pvc, in the long run it will pay off, and the ball valve isnt really needed since all you have to do is turn off the return pump lol. Still nice to have I guess, just dont turn it with the pump still on or ull flood the display 0.0 Quote Link to comment
saltwatercoral Posted January 6, 2012 Thanks yall! I have the PVC alittle smaller diameter than the flex hose but where the water comes out and then back into the sump, those conections are the same diameter. So the water going through should be the same! I hope it does work! if it does I think in time I will get the rest of everything all PVC'd UP! Quote Link to comment

Lawnman Posted January 6, 2012 Send me a pm when that drain sounds like niagra falls and I will help you silence it. Quote Link to comment
Lawnman Posted January 6, 2012 By T ing off the return line with a gate valve letting a little water back into the sump. You can't run much flow thru a marineland stock plumbing drain because they are noisy. I have seen people throttle the return back with a valve but this burns out the pump premature. If you want saltwatercoral send me a pm I will send you a pic of my sump so you can see what I am talking about. Quote Link to comment
