My new Sun Coral. Very cool and hungry creature!!!

am i the only one who finds it ironic that a non-photosynthetic coral is named after the thing that provides light for most other corals?

mine only has 3 heads right now. every time i try to feed it the darn cleaner shrimp comes running up and robs em!

My cleaners do the same...I just make sure feed the shrimp first to keep'em occupied, the feed the suns.

What exactly are you feeding yours? And how long have you had it? I feed mine coral snow and a chunk of brine shrimp but hes really hard to feed. Doing good though, my LFS told me the coral snow would be suffice.

Different things... mysis, cyclopeeze, brine...I use a medicine syringe with tubing and turn off pumps and feed the mouths and let sit for 10 minutes then turn pumps back on. I feed 3-4 times per week and do a gallon water change after feeding so not to add to much nutrients to the water (14g B/C means 10-11 gallons of water total). I've had it about a month, its the Soloman Island type with huge heads. Thank you!!!! ^
