Decided I didnt like the look of the stock Bio Cube Hood. Or the lighting. So I built my own. Added 2 BoostLED Par 30's One 4RB+1W One 3RB+2W. Amazing Product!!! But they arent on in this pic.

the hood its self looks awesome but looks odd on a biocube.. if u get thin plywood and soak it in water overnight then bend it and hold it in place with clamps or cinder blocks and let it dry for 3 days, you could have a rounded hood, imho make it 2-3" shorter

Thanks Lizard.. I may have to give that a try. I just kind of got the idea one day and threw this one together. I really wanted to hang the lights also but its not in a permanent spot right now. So I just mounted them to the back.

It's really cool, but could you possibly hide the lights inside the hood somehow? Just a thought. Nice work.

The lights are just a temp fix. Will probably eventually be hung via some sort of track lighting. The fixtures that are on there now are flexiable and after a week or so of letting the corals get used to the new lights Ill lower them down some. Not sure if I can mount them "inside" the hood. Not really as big as it looks. If the lights are inside the hood they almost touch the water.
