paneubert Posted March 8, 2011 How long did you have the wrasse? I hear they are hard to maintain since they mostly eat parasites. Quote Link to comment
Formula462 Posted March 9, 2011 Starving nearly to death and being finished off by invertebrate predator, very elegant. Quote Link to comment
Silvergumby Posted March 9, 2011 Had this one for 3 days. I had another one a few weeks ago that lasted 2 days. I don't know what happened to the other one. I guess I'm not going to be able to keep a cleaner in this tank. Quote Link to comment
paneubert Posted March 9, 2011 Sorry about the loss. I was not trying to be an ass or anything. I have one and it is still going well. I was just curious to see if you had kept it fed for any length of time. Quote Link to comment
Silvergumby Posted March 9, 2011 The short time I had it, it seemed that it was not interested in anything I fed the other fish, including frozen clams and live brine shrimp. I imagine it would be a difficult fish to keep, but I hot him for the Tangs, as Tangs are prone to skin conditions. Quote Link to comment
paneubert Posted March 9, 2011 Yeah. It seems like hit or miss. Sort of like a Mandarin. Mine seem to at least suck in the frozen and spit it out. Still going strong....so maybe I got lucky. Quote Link to comment
Walking_Target Posted March 9, 2011 these guys rarely do well long term. Best to use a cleaner shrimp as they'll readily go after frozen or even pellet foods. Quote Link to comment
