A unique addition - dead brain coral comes back to life!

I was in the Virgin Islands in early September and picked up a couple of chunks of brain coral that was dead and washed up on the beach. They've been in the tank for about a month and a half and were bleached white when I added them.

its algae, i see no skin at all on the skeleton. sorry to break your bubble. but u can always pretend its alive.

Man, you guys are literal. :-)

 

I didn't mean alive like it once was. I *was* referring to the algae and corraline algae that's starting to grow. This picture was prior to the 32w lighting retrofit upgrade. It's got lots of bright green and red on it now.
