Temporary set up, newly added rock, like maybe 2 months in my system. Didn't know the caulerpa was invasive, but it grows maybe an inch/day.

I will have a tang soon, but will be quarentining it 1st. So maybe another 2-4 wks before he's in. I do want to keep some for him to be able to settle in to my tank, and eat...eat eat eat I hope he will. And hopefully accept flakes and pellets. That's the plan. A good food source for adaptation. Will a tang eat the cotton candy like algae?

John is welcome to use this and other pic I posted today for any purpose without any further request. Particularly nuisence algae posting.

About 50% of the rock is Totoka and the algae roots down deeply in its' deep crevices.

The Caulerpa came from another type rock, maybe Alor, you tell me...

I actually paid an extra $10 for the rock with the plant specificly with the Brown Powder Tang in mind. Like insurance for $10 Too bad I didn't buy the tang at the same time. I was afraid of amonia surge with a 6 hour trip. No surge, $550 of cured rock kept the cycle, transported in water, keep that in mind y'all. A tote in a large tote and ur totin' good for a long trip.
