I have had some algae problems in past as tank

I have had some algae problems in past as tank is right by large window and I like the shades open as think the sun helps a lot with inverts even top of tank gets lots sun going down (I use ac in house so tank doesn't get hot).

Thats the problem with lots sun by window but water changes take care of it and short lived algae.

 

I plan to now set up a 20 gallon long which I am finding more complicated .
