From the looks of this thing WITHOUT rock/fish/corals, I don't think he's worried about a lil' algae! :)

thats what i'm thinking too, since it will be setup on my desk i can try to stop the growth on the top during the time i dont want to work (you know like every 5 - 10 minutes or so) my biggest worry though is the salinity levels during evap in a system this small. not much room to install any type of ATO so it will be a chore to keep up with the evap. i guess we will see how it goes

Thanks a sick looking tank...I considered getting one before I deceided to by my jbj28g nanocube hqi. Deal breaker for me was the light - were'd you get the LED's and how powerful are they?

Im doing my research now on the LED mod for this tank. yours looks great! btw, in terms of water temp, someone else posted they couldn't drop below 85 degrees...let us know if you run into this issue
