cool I've had one for a couple years now and it hasn't died. its pretty much reef safe.

Totally reef safe, its less aggressive than my clowns. You just have to slowly acclimate them to the higher salinity, just like molly's or something. Its definitely my favorite fish.

my lfs has a few in 1.026 Sg......

 

 

theyre doin very well....

they WILL however start takin pieces out of EVERYTHING meaty.....

and will devour ALL crustaceans... (their wild diet)

 

so have fun w/ your "totally reef-safe" fish...

;)

 

 

ive owned a few puffers in my time.

beautiful animals, but that beak is a killer...

they're euryhaline. cutest fish ever. if i had a fish only tank i would buy one.

I've had it for 2 years and it eats the occasional snail, but those reproduce like crazy in my tank so its not a problem. So yes, I WILL enjoy my REEF safe fish.

Yes, also known as a GSP, or leopard spotted puffer, leopard puffer, green puffer, green spotted puffer, or spotted puffer. They are brackish fish as juveniles, but they need full SW as adults to stay healthy.

Mine is PERFECTLY reef safe. doesn't pick on anything. AT ALL, so unless you've kept one then keep your mouth shut. please

I almost always put one or two of these in reefs. I love the way they are always watching you and hovering around the tank. I have never had problems with them in a reef at all. Every one that I have ever had has been named Stanley.
