Tenacious716 Posted November 7, 2009 Thanks guys! Unfortunatly it bleached out and died within a month of having it. It was the nicest yuma I've come across, and after watching it lose colors and shrivel away I'm very hesitant to ever buy another. Quote Link to comment
Orangutran Posted November 7, 2009 my orange/pink one lasted 4 months. i know the feeling! Quote Link to comment
PolypGardener Posted November 7, 2009 I went through dozens of ultra yumas and almost gave up on the idea that they could live until a friend of mine told me about his. He grew out a single ultra red/orange yuma from one polyp to over 100 in a couple years. He grew his out under 150watt SE HQI's(same as me) They are the only ones I have seen last and reproduce. I have a huge one in my tank, about 4inches in diameter when fully expanded and its has already dropped off a couple babies in the last couple months. There are pictures of it on Neptune Aquatics website cuz he traded some in to them. Check it out, those ones live and reproduce. Quote Link to comment
Tenacious716 Posted November 7, 2009 Sounds cool. After owning this in its prime, no other yuma can replace it in my tank! FML. Quote Link to comment
Deleted User 6 Posted November 7, 2009 if I had that and it died, i'd be done with yumas too. sorry for your loss. Quote Link to comment
miniwhinny Posted November 7, 2009 Same story here so sorry for your loss...paid a lot to watch my money melt in from of my eyes while everything else around it thrived in excellent health. You know the saying "fool me once...." Quote Link to comment
rrcg50 Posted November 7, 2009 Don't give up on them. Next time ask the store if you can pay for it and have them hold it for you. This way you can tell its health. I have done this twice and have 2 beautiful specimens that survived and are thriving. Rich Quote Link to comment

bluefunelement Posted November 8, 2009 I have only "standard" green and orange Yuma's that are nicknamed T-800's but I would hate to have this happen - does anyone know the exact cause of ultra ric's usual demise? Quote Link to comment
RyanR1212 Posted November 8, 2009 OMG THATS AWESOME!!!!!! thats what happens when ghandi and mother theresa have a baby Quote Link to comment
Tenacious716 Posted November 9, 2009 Wow, I'm surprised at how many replies I got! =O My ultimate goal is to find a healthy, thriving yuma even nicer than the one pictured. Until I do, I'll have to grasp the memories of this one! lol Quote Link to comment
RockinSmall Posted November 9, 2009 Every time i hear about these lovely yumas die, it holds me back from buying the hot pink one i am always after.... Quote Link to comment
