Good starfish or bad starfish

Asterina star, mixed opinions. Some say bad some say good, I would just watch, if you have a fuge that would make a great inhabitant.

they eat Coraline algae and they will kill corals if they multiply enough. Trust me, they multiply by the hundreds

They're good if you have Harliquin Shrimp as that's all they eat! 8-) I pull mine out as they show up with tweezers. They pop off easily and you can make a game of it, "Find the starfish" Try not quiting until you find a few. ;-)

hmm I have them in my tank and they dont seem to bother anything. But now I'll have to keep an eye on them.

Yeah they have left white paths in my coralline from where they have destroyed it. I'm thinking about getting a couple harlies to take care of the pests.

I've caught these wrapped on zoa polyps before (pic in my thread), so I tossed it.

same thing happened to me. They've eaten my zoas, and if you have any sleeping fish like wrasses, I would get them outa there. They'd attach to em' while they are sleeping

they would sit on top of my zoas and eat them. had to take them out one by one by hand and there was over 100 i bet! took me a cople of weeks to get rid of them all.
