My clowns couldn't go near any other stuff. 2. Pretty sure he was killing snails and crabs to supplement his diet. 3. Absolutely incompatible with shrimps that aren't much larger. The guy at the LFS told me it would get along with clowns and shrimp fine. He chased the clowns, and killed the peppermint shrimp I had (didn't kill the cleaner, but nipped his antennae).
