waterat4 Posted January 4, 2009 I like what you have done with the power head, A simple but effective idea, its so simple im surprised that its the first time ive ever seen anyone paint the power head, good job Quote Link to comment
JBM Posted January 4, 2009 i just hope it's aquarium safe paint.... otherwise it might leach chemicals into the tank Quote Link to comment
121a Posted January 4, 2009 JBM=what? he probably painted the outside of the tank. nice tank though, if your going through a cycle you dont need the skimmer on. Quote Link to comment
dolphinfan213 Posted January 4, 2009 my only question is---where is the filtration? Quote Link to comment
Aqua newbie Posted January 4, 2009 I don't think the powerhead is painted-In my opinion it's just the light affecting the grey ph. I really don't think that that rubble/gravel is a good idea. Quote Link to comment
eddiecorrea Posted January 4, 2009 Dolphinfan213 - you dont need filtration. Thats what LR and LS is for. I dont have a filter or skimmer on ANY of my tanks. And I have a 3gal, 55gal, 10gal. All reefs. Is that the biocube skimmer? If so how do you like it? Quote Link to comment
smart Posted January 5, 2009 The powerhead is painted (water safe paint), the skimmer is some unknown brand. The substrate is not gravel, but chrushed oyster shells. Quote Link to comment
sprint475 Posted January 30, 2010 looks great but I thought only tanks 55 gallon and up need protein skimmers? With nanos water changes weekely do the job hmmmmmmmmm Quote Link to comment
