Thanks for the compliments! When I started this tank I used Oceanic salt. I got a bad batch one time so I switched to Instant Ocean and now I use Reef Crystals.

The cap is doing great! I've had to rearrange it a couple of times as it has gotten bigger and soon will probably grow too big for this tank.

Could you expand on the Bad batch of Oceanic Salt?....I've been using it for over a year and have had nothing but great results.

Thanks for all the kind words! You can probably tell from the photo that my tank is infested with bubble algae. There's also an aiptasia outbreak at the moment so I've added an emerald crab and a peppermint shrimp to help with those two problems.

Aqua newbie: I have three color varieties of Florida rics and an orange yuma. I started with one yuma and has split five times since then.

liveclown: I have a 36W Current Dual Satellite over my tank and so far I've been able to keep just about anything under it including a monti cap that has been thriving and growing with surprising results.

Check out my tank thread to see how my tank has evolved over time:

That is amazing in a 3g. I am just starting my tank and I pray I can get a 24g to look that good.
