wow very cool does the ambient of the room and the heat gained from the top cover of your tank provide enough heat for the tank?

thanks, scotty! from my experience with my previous setup, it's more than enough during spring/summer/fall. the fan is very necessary. i'd rather use a chiller but $$$.

in the winter i'll need a heater though. i figure i'll try either that heat pad thingy they sell for bettas or splurge for the inline heater coupled with a closed-loop concept i'm still working on.
