The watts per gallon rule is basically useless. SPS will brown out with PC lights, and in a 5.5g keeping sps/clams would be very difficult as it is so small and anything can swing the parameters.

A clam would probably eat up Alk and Ca faster than you could dose it.

watts per gallon = useless. PAR rating is what you want, and PC cannot deliver.

and the clam was a thought...... I've been researching if I could pull it off or not...

by the way... My sps's haven't browned out... They've had excellent coloration and growth.... Tank has been up for 6 months....
