r20crazy Posted April 5, 2008 what pump you plan on using? you're gonna have ALOTA gph loss with all those unions and double scwd's Quote Link to comment
doctorthompson Posted April 5, 2008 Agreed on the loss, but if it's a small/nano-sized tank then even if they only get 200-400gph output after the loss split across those 4 alternating outputs, it could do wonders for the health of any heavy mucus-shedding corals (soft and hard alike) as well as keeping detritus suspended in the water column longer so it can be skimmed/filtered out. Make sure the SCWDs can be easily removed for cleaning and prefilter the input feed so they don't get all "mulmed" up as quickly. Quote Link to comment
wow_it_esploded Posted April 8, 2008 i would suggest using a y at the intersection because it will help flow enough to give that extra umph. john Quote Link to comment
Basile Posted September 1, 2008 Ya i agree, just use a Y , you'll loose too much gph flow man. Keep it simple. Quote Link to comment
